5 years ago today...

Lindsey's Journal

Five years ago today is definitely a day I will never forget. September 11, 2001, is a day that the entire world will unfortunately, never forget. I was in my Junior year at Ponchatoula High School in my hometown. I will always remember that I was in Mrs. Lee's 3rd hour Keyboarding class when I heard the news of the World Trade Centers, The Pentagon and the field in Pennsylvania killing thousands in a matter of minutes.

Sadly, there was still so much confusion as it had just happened and no one knew much about anything in detail, but were just terrified of what may happen next. It's a lot easier for those who saw it on Television, but in reality, they are millions who experienced this first hand with family members that have still never returned home since this tragic day. I, like many others just go about my life remembering that day, but I never stop to think of the people who suffer that every day of their lives.

The children that lost their moms... dads... big brother... sister...etc. I just want to thank God for the hand He has put on the families lives as they struggle each day simply hoping their loved ones didn't suffer on that plane or in that building. I am unworthy of His love for me and the protection that He has had over so many lives.

I just wanted to take this time to thank God for each of you in my life. Even if I've never met you, please know you mean the world to me. Please take time to pray for those families as they would do the same for you.

To the firefighters... policemen... officials... each website supporting the September 11th fund... Thank you for doing what you do.

GOLD RECORD!

Lindsey's Journal

HOWDY!!!!!!!

IT's FRIDAY! I've been waiting for this weekend for SO long. I'm home and I'm playing our CO-ED Softball game tonight in Bush, Louisiana and I'm excited. It's Labor Day weekend and what a wonderful one it will be!!! We have our Annual Holey Board Tournament that will be a lot of fun. I'm so excited to be home this weekend and go down the river with all of my friends.

I had a wonderful week! A phone call came on Wednesday, August 30, 2006 that our American Idol Album "The Showstoppers" went GOLD!!!!! I'm so excited to receive my first GOLD record and to be a part of something so successful. I will be doing a great amount of interviews, etc to talk about my upcoming radio tour as well as this new GOLD record. My family and friends went to eat last night at a great Seafood Restaurant here in Louisiana called Middendorfs. It was DELICIOUS and we had a wonderful time!

My band is busy getting ready for the Washington Parish Fair. It's going to be a great show this year. We're also getting ready for more Fall shows that will be announced soon. Stay tuned on the different websites about new updates.

Since the last time that I've posted, my boyfriends sister had a baby girl, Caroline Elizabeth. SO, this would be our first neice and she's absolutely beautiful! We were luckily able to leave out mid-week last week to see her right after she was born and stay with her a couple days. She's simply gorgeous... I can't wait to hold her again and teach her to sing! She's going to be so much fun!

Southeastern was traveling to New Mexico for their football game and I'm hoping they did well! LSU Tigers start tomorrow and i wish them the best as well!!

For now, I'm gone to work! I can't wait to see you all on the road soon.

Again, whether it's two miles or two thousand, you're the reason I do what I do.

Camp Kindle- NEBRASKA

So, it's Monday again... the last time I posted was on a Monday. I just got in from Lincoln/Omaha Nebraska and we had a BLAST! We arrived on Thursday and had the day to ourselves. It was great! I had two friends from home come with me and they enjoyed theirselves as well. Jon Peter Lewis, Kim Caldwell, Trenyce and Myself were the idols that performed/attended Celebrity Weekend benefiting Camp Kindle.

Camp Kindle is an organization formed to help children infected and/or affected with HIV and AIDS. We were all honored to be a part of this weekend and were able to raise a lot of money for the children to have activities as well as attend the camp. The counselors are wonderful for doing what they do and I think it's incredible that there are people in this world that help out the way they do for people in need. We heard many heart-wrenching stories this weekend and again was a constant reminder of how happy we all were to be a part of this.

I am still trying to catch up on sleep from Saturday night! Jon, Kim and myself stayed up all night and had out own jam session and proceeded to write a song ABOUT staying up all night long. We had a BLAST and I can't wait for more shows in the future with these guys again! We had a wonderful time sharing our interesting "Idol stories"!

I have many interesting pictures to upload on the my websites. Be sure to stay tuned for them as well as more information on my upcoming Radio Tour!

Lindsey's Journal

Hey y'all! It's MONDAY... everyone's FAVORITE!!! I had a wonderful weekend in Lafayette, Louisiana at the Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries Convention. It was very nice and great to hear the stories written to the Wildlife Agents regarding their hard work throughout Hurricanes Katrina and Rita. I will be home next weekend and then I am hitting the road again!

The idols are all thrilled about the Celebrity Weekend coming soon in Nebraska. I cannot wait to travel again. Two of my good friends from home will be traveling with me... I can't wait! I am so anxious about writing songs in Nashville. I will be there in a few weeks to work on a few different events.

Keep your ears open for my future Radio Tour. There are still more dates in the air, but for the most part we know it falls a few weeks before my show with Neal McCoy in October. I believe that the tour will begin in Texas and will end near my hometown. I will keep you posted! For now, I am going to get back to my online schooling! YAY! I am about to purchase another vehicle... I'm very excited!

Hey y'all!

Howdy!!

Today's Thursday and almost the end of a very great week! My friends and I went down the river this week and we had a BLAST! We usually don't see gators this early on, but we saw an 8-footer and I killed a water mocassin with a paddle!! So yes, it was a very interesting trip! We had a wonderful what we called... "redneck spring break"!!!

I had a wonderful Easter with my family and my boyfriends family. The Easter Bunny was good to everyone as usual! I rode in the Chris Owen's Easter Bonnet Parade at 1:00PM on Sunday. It was a lot of fun. My mom was able to ride with me and she really enjoyed herself as well. I met Chris Owens and took a picture with her before the parade; she was very nice. I sang on the float and attempted to throw beads at the same time... it was a sight!

Tomorrow I get to see the little girls I used to babysit when I was in high school. I can't wait to spend time with them!! They live down the street and are here most of the time, but they're out of school for Spring Break and we get to go to the movies or do something fun!! They're my heart!

I'm heading to Nashville on June 2, 2006 to do the reality TV convention! It's going to be MEGA FUN!!! I can't wait! Jessica Sierra and I will be there and will make appearances that weekend. Then, to end the convention, she and I will perform a concert with all the celebrity guests! I'm so looking forward to it!

I'll be back at the Finale in May when they announce our American Idol 2006!!!! Keep watching and voting every week!!

Well, I guess thats it for now! I have to return some emails and work a little more on the site! Ty is doing a GREAT job and everyone should let him know that!

Love y'all,
lc

AI Reunion

Hey y'all! I hope everyone is doing well. I have had an incredibly busy, but wonderful week. I left last Monday for L.A. and had an amazing time. I guess I will give in detail my experience.

Monday evening my flight was going to be flying into Denver, Colorado. Due to a bad snowstorm, my flight was delayed 3 hours. Therefore, I missed my connecting flight to LAX and had to end up spending the night! Putting this together in your mind... I left Louisiana in flip-flops and stayed in COLORADO where people SNOW SKI! HA! It was sooo great though. I had a friend come along with me and she had the infamous "crocs" and yes if you know what those are, there are HOLES in them! We were FREEZING!

We get to the Denver airport at 3am to leave for L.A. at 5am. Freezing cold and exhausted, I still was so anxious to see everyone.

We arrived in L.A. safely and began to get ready to go meet the contestants. Everyone was amazing! Taylor Hicks I think is just a great performer, but they all
truly have a gift; all of them. I had a wonderful time hanging out with them backstage. Mikalah and I hung out Tuesday night for a while and just talked about how crazy it was to be back watching others perform. It was an emotional thing, but we both really enjoyed it. Along with seeing Constantine and Ryan Cabrerra- we all were able to meet Barry Manilow!

Tuesday night after the show we went to "Saddle Ranch" to eat and you know me, I like those country places!!! They had a mechanical bull that MIKALAH was thrown from... she still doesn't understand the purpose of trying to stay on for "8 seconds"! haha!!!

Wednesday, we toured around L.A. because my friend, Carla had never been to Cali. We shopped until we couldn't and then went to the results show. We had a great time~ I cannot wait to return for the Finale. I know that this year it will be very interesting to see who wins. VOTE VOTE VOTE!!!

Today was very relaxed. Heather, (best friend) Caitlynn (little cousin) and I were able to ride our horses today, so that was just a great way to finish off this week. BUT- I am PETRIFIED of snakes and I saw a HUGE one today! Eeewww, it gives me chills to think about it! AH! It was SCARY!

Well, it's late and I have a LOT to do this week to get ready for my shows. Hope you all are just great! Can't wait to see you on the road soon!

Love, Lins

It's Lindsey Cardinale Day!

Hey y'all!

It's about 10:21 on March 8, 2006. This time last year I was getting ready for a HUGE performance when my mom called and said our parish president Mr. Gordon Burgess had declaired it "Lindsey Cardinale Day" in Tangipahoa Parish. With HUGE tears running down my face, I knew I still had Randy, Paula and Simon to face. Whew! The good ole' days!

I had a great day today. My mom and I attended a luncheon with many of the parish officials. Kings, queens, presidents and many other special guests. I had a wonderful time today and thank you everyone for the flowers, cards, etc. It all means the world to me.

I've been getting ready a little this afternoon for the Southeastern Music Festival on Saturday. I will do an acoustic show; that's right... me and my ole' guitar. I am very excited to be there and hope to see you there as well!! I start rehearsing with the band VERY soon for the big Strawberry Festival in PONCHY! YAY!! I can't wait to eat those WONDERFUL strawberries!!!

Well, I'm off the bed now! Love y'all- Lins
